You're Like 12! Stop Being Rude!

So last night we ( my husband and I) had the blessed opportunity to help out with an event for jr/sr. high kids with our church. There was a time of about 10-15 min. that the kids were told to sit down and listen to a little story and some instruction from one of the leaders. And these kids could NOT be quiet for anything! I don't understand it, you would think that after being told to be quiet multiple times by like 5 or 6 people, not including the person on the microphone, that they would just sit tight and be quiet for just a few minutes. I mean we aren't dealing with little kids here, we are dealing with kids who are old enough to know how to sit still and be quiet, right? I eventually lost my cool and told a kid that since my infant was being quiet they should too since she doesn't even know what "being quiet" even means.

I'm just flabbergasted with this generation. Absolutely no respect for anybody at all. I sure hope my kiddo doesn't turn out like this. Or else I'll go nutty.
