I'm not sure how many of you may know this but apparently during the week (as far as I know) at Applebee's there is karaoke night. I was shocked when my husband and I walked into Applebee's last night to use a gift card for our third anniversary and it was packed! And there was a DJ! What?! I guess it's cool to go do that at a restaurant late at night. Anyways, it's pretty cool that there is a $1 dessert on the menu at Applebee's and it was totally worth it; completely made my night. Little slice of brownie, small scoop of ice cream, a little drizzle of chocolate sauce: perfect! I'm linking a cookbook that may have the recipe not sure yet. Not too bad for a third anniversary, especially since this is our first anniversary that we weren't completely sleep deprived for. Last year we went to the drive in for a movie and the hubs and I nearly fell asleep before the end of the first movie! ( and before anyone gets judgey we are poor and he had never had the pleasure of experiencing a drive in movie ) The year before that we welcomed home our little bundle of joy 5 days before it, so it was more of a blur than anything.

These are the best days of your lives. Don't get me wrong we still live paycheck to paycheck, so that I can be a SAHM to our kids. Those first days in the beginning when his work hours were cut and we couldn't afford anything, those are the days that we share some of our fondest memories. Ironic isn't it? Happy 3 years and counting!
